PARTICIPATE IN THY KINGDOM COME 2020
Thy Kingdom Come is a worldwide prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray during the 9 days between Ascension and Pentecost (21st to 31st May).
Praying for 5 people to come to know the love and peace of Christ, is at the heart of Thy Kingdom Come. This year, as well as praying for people, we also want to show God’s love and care during these uncertain times.
PARTICIPATE IN THE THY KINGDOM COME PRAYER
Our leadership team is encouraging us to get involved as a church, as individuals, and as families. Not only will it help each one of us to grow in spiritual maturity, but it will also bless and enrich the lives of our friends, families, and the wider community.
1. Keep a Prayer Journal
Why not download this year’s prayer journal? Each day includes a short bible reading with a reflection to inspire you, a prayer, and a helpful suggestion to prompt action, so we share the love and care of Christ.
You can choose to print the journal or read it on-line and keep notes in your own notebook.
Coming Soon: check out this interview to hear how keeping a prayer journal helps in daily prayer.
2. The TKC App
Full of daily videos, Bible readings, reflections, podcasts from Professor NT Wright and a special section for your ‘Pray for 5’, the app will further enhance your spiritual devotions during these 11 days of prayer.
3. Family Prayer Adventure Map
Perfect for families, the printable map is packed with activities based on the daily themes of Thy Kingdom Come.
The digital, augmented reality app brings the map to life with bonus digital content, including videos, games and animations of well-known Bible stories, which will keep children entertained and teach them to pray.
Download the App: From Google Play | From the App Store
4. Bright Ideas for Praying with Children
To help families grow together in faith, Holly, our Children and Families Minister, will be sharing creative prayer content to the Families What’s App group over the 11-day period.
In addition, we are making this content available on our web site and YouTube Channel, so feel free to share with families you know.
5. Ascension Day and Pentecost Services
We will be holding on-line services on Thursday 21st May for Ascension Day and Sunday 31st May to celebrate Pentecost. In addition there will be our normal Sunday service on 24th May. These can be found under sermons in the resources section of our web site.
6. Invitation to other Prayer Times
Don’t forget that you can join in any of our existing and new prayer initiatives:
