The Making History project depicted in pictures

The journey toward a church fit for the 21st century began in 2010.

7 years of consultation followed, and an ambitious plan to reorder the church was developed and refined. The first phase of works was finally completed in 2020.

These images take a look back at some of the fundraising activities undertaken and building work carried out to get us this far.

These images were captured from time lapse video as the work to put in the underfloor heating was being undertaken.

Firstly, Tecnopor was laid. Then the damp proof membrane, followed by crushed slate and insulation boards.

Heating panels were laid on top of that before adding the heating pipes. Finally a geotextile membrane and screed replacement tiles were laid for the heating system to be complete and ready for the flagstones.
