17th March 2020
Leatherhead Parish Church

The Archbishops of Canterbury and York advise the suspension of all church services.

‘We are asking the Church of England in all its parishes, chaplaincies and ministries to serve all people in a new way. Public worship will have to stop for a season.

Our usual pattern of Sunday services and other mid-week gatherings must be put on hold. But this does not mean that the Church of England has shut up shop. Far from it.’

Although Government guidance has been revised, so that churches can open for private prayer, this church remains closed until further notice.

The clergy team at Leatherhead Parish church will be saying daily prayers on behalf of everyone and serving others where practical.

Join us in the following ways:

09.00 Morning Prayer: You can follow along with morning prayer here. Please contact Rev’d Graham,Rev’d Ian, or the church office, if you’d like to join via Zoom.

11.00 Community: At 11.00am every morning regardless of where you are we invite you to recite the Lord’s Prayer – in this way we can be together in a ‘virtual’ community.

Sunday Services: On-line services that you can follow at home are available on our Sermons page.

Bedtime: Before you go to bed give thanks to God for the day that has past and place your trust in him for the day to come.

Church Building Currently Closed
Leatherhead Parish Church is closed to the public. Although Government restrictions have been lifted for private prayer within churches, this church will remain closed for a further period, while the last few fixes for our Making History building project are completed. As soon as practical and safe to do so we will open the doors for those who wish a quiet, holy place in which to pray and seek the comfort of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Although the FOODBANK donation box remains in the Open Porch of the Church Building, it is recommended that for the time being you make your donation at the supermarket when shopping.

Every blessing to you and those you love at this challenging time.
