Giving
There are many ways in which you can contribute to the life and work in the parish.
This church largely depends on the generosity of its members in giving of their time and talents to help with the ministry and mission of the church, not to mention the day-to-day running of the parish.
God will often prompt us by laying a passion or conviction on our hearts. If you feel called to offer any of your gifts and skills, Jane, our Parish Administrator, will point you in the right direction.
HOW CAN I HELP
Practical help
Practical help church cleaning, flower arranging, leaflet delivery, helping to keep the churchyard looking tidy.
Offering a ministry of welcome
Greeting people as they arrive for a service or serving refreshments.
Worship
Ringing bells to call people to worship, singing or playing during the service, reading a lesson, or leading our prayer times.
Reaching out into the community
Volunteering at B@titude, the Food Bank, LYP, or in one of our local schools.
GENEROUS GIVING – A WAY OF LIVING
In addition to giving time and talents, we encourage you to give financially on a regular basis through planned giving and using Gift Aid (if a UK taxpayer). Regular donations assist the Treasurer in forecasting the level of receipts and managing the accounts.
Parish Giving Scheme (PGS)
The easiest and most efficient way of giving toward the work of this church is through membership of the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS). A regular donation to the PGS by Direct Debit is returned to this parish each month, together with the reclaimed tax through Gift Aid.
Bank Standing Order
You can give direct to the Parish Church through a regular standing order.
Give at a Service
A collection is taken at all Sunday services. Cash or cheques can be placed directly into the collection plate. Using the yellow gift aid envelopes, available from the welcome desk, enables us to additionally reclaim tax through Gift Aid (if you are a UK taxpayer). We also have a card reader for giving electronically.
All donations to the Making History project should be clearly marked, so they are dedicated to that fund.
