The Burn’s Night celebration
A few reminders of last Saturday’s Burn’s Night Celebrations. Saturday 24th January.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening with the piping in of the haggis, an authentic and passionate recitation and a dram of whisky to make the toast, followed by a plate of the delicious haggis, tatties and neeps.
Scottish raspberries and shortbread to finish the meal then onto the floor for some Scottish dancing.
No shortage of participants.
How else to end the evening but with Auld Lang Syne?
Listening attentively for the instructions. It looks like The Dashing White Sergeant. Are we worried??
And swing your partner – full of action
Thanks to everyone who helped make it a hugely enjoyable evening and thanks to everyone who came!
The dancing went on...
And on!
With thanks to John Gale for the photos.
