Swan Handbell Group Open Evening
On 18th June 2015 The Swan Handbell Group had an Open Evening when we played a selection of familiar songs to an appreciative audience. We opened with our signature song “Bells of St Mary’s. Concentration ... ... counting ... ... waiting for our beat. Expert tuition was given to members of the audience as we played “The Ash Grove”. Youth and experience tried their hand at ringing – most successfully! The biggest bell is quite weighty. We do have lots of fun. We finished with drinks, a buffet and a good chat. It was an enjoyable evening. Many thanks to Beverley, our leader and conductor, for all her hard work. Thank you to John Gale for the photos. D.G.
