The Archbishops of Canterbury and York advise the suspension of all church services.
‘We are asking the Church of England in all its parishes, chaplaincies and ministries to serve all people in a new way. Public worship will have to stop for a season.
Our usual pattern of Sunday services and other mid-week gatherings must be put on hold. But this does not mean that the Church of England has shut up shop. Far from it.’
The clergy team at Leatherhead Parish church will be saying daily prayers on behalf of everyone and serving others where practical.
Join us in the following ways:
11.00 Community: At 11.00am every morning regardless of where you are we invite you to recite the Lord’s Prayer – in this way we can be together in a ‘virtual’ community.
Sunday Services: On-line services that you can follow at home will be available on our Sermons page here.
At 7.00pm place a lighted candle in a window as a sign of solidarity and hope in the light of Christ that can never be extinguished.
Bedtime: Before you go to bed give thanks to God for the day that has past and place your trust in him for the day to come.
Church Building Currently Closed
Unfortunately due the Making History building project Leatherhead Parish Church will remain closed for a few more weeks. As soon as practical we will open the doors for those who wish a quiet, holy place in which to pray and seek the comfort of our Lord Jesus Christ.
If you wish to make a FOODBANK donation the box to receive donations will be in the Open Porch of the Church Building.
Every blessing to you and those you love at this challenging time.
