About Us

The Parish Church of St Mary and St Nicholas, Leatherhead is an Anglican church within the Diocese of Guildford.

We believe church is more than its building and a religious institution. We are a family, who meet together to worship, seek to encourage each other in our faith journeys, and provide practical support to one another.

We also look to serve our local community and see the lives of people transformed through the love of Jesus. In addition to Sunday worship services, we run activities and groups designed to help build community, with a particular focus on supporting families and people who are socially isolated.

Our daughter church, All Saints, was turned into a state-of-the-art youth centre for the Leatherhead Youth Project in 2005, and in 2014 also became a social enterprise café offering apprenticeships to disadvantaged young people.

Since 2001 the parishes of Leatherhead and Mickleham have been a United Benefice, sharing resources and opportunities to grow together in our shared ministries and mission.

As part of the wider Christian community here in Leatherhead, we work with other churches in the town through Churches Together in Leatherhead, and in a Covenant relationship with the Methodist and URC churches.

We’d love to get to know you, so hope you are able to participate in one of our events or come along to a service soon.
